With only a couple of little baby chips near the socket, it's just about as good as they get! The socket is in just as nice the porcelain shade and looks to be almost new.

I added a ground wire for safety... The shade is easily removed for cleaning without tools. A wonderful light that would be very hard to improve upon. The 16" pipe as well as the 4" diameter wall mount are. I will include the wire-nuts, might save you a trip to the hardware store.
